Description: Recone kit for the Cerwin Vega 122W4 woofer. Red over gray foam like original. Kits include everything in the picture. Shims available on request. Note on ohms. While everyone else lists 8 ohm recone kits for these woofers, they're wrong. Every one myself and others have torn down and checked, have actually been 4 ohms. So these kits include the 4 layer 4 ohm coils. Now, Cerwin (and Heppner) was notorious for making countless variations of things. The 122w4 woofer is no different. That woofer has been made with several different motors, and cones. Extensive testing has shown that the lighter cones work and sound best in the 12tr speakers, along with these 4 layer 4 ohm, coils. However, if you have an as yet unknown variation, or for whatever reason want 8 ohm coils, I do also have the 4 layer 8 ohm coils available, and I'm happy to put those into your kits if you would like. Just message me when you buy them. I'm also including the standard looking tan/yellow spider, but if you want my higher power handling (slightly stiffer) black spiders which I have with many of my kits, I'm happy to substitute those for you too. Also included is a sheet of tips and suggestions from decades of experience, along with my personal phone number should you have an issue.
