The transistor used is extremely rugged and can withstandan SWR mismatch for 65:1 or greater at all phase angles. The PC board isprofessionally fabricated and is designed to produce a very high efficiency(greater than 85%). The amplifier is design for the 1.25 Meter VHF Band (220 to230 MHz) and supports AM, FM, CW, FT8, and SSB operating modes. The biascurrent is preset to 500mA and can be readjusted by use of an independentpotentiometer. The board dimensions are 4" wide by 7.5" long. A largealuminum heat sink and forced air are required for proper cooling and forreliable operation.
