The view, No. 11032 from the series American Views, Washington, D.C., and entitled Scott Soldiers’ Home, shows two Civil War era light artillery pieces displayed on the law in front of a large three story building with a Mansard roof. This facility would have been similar to those now operated by the Veterans Administration. The stereoview is in very good condition with minimal wear and soiling. The photographs exhibit very good tonal range and show very good detail. A very nice early Washington DC military related image!
