Description: The epitome of glamour in the 1930s, this full length black silk velvet evening coat is in very good condition, shiny and soft, with a wide ivory white ermine collar and excellent ivory satin lining. The sleeves are pleated at top and full, tapering to fitted wrists, and this coat fastens via an inside button and loop and two outside buttons with a loop. The buttons are vintage black glass, and in my opinion the outside buttons are replacements to the originals, as they would more likely have been either covered velvet or possibly ermine fur. There is a tiny tear at the back of the fur which I have not attempted to stitch, and this coat is in fully wearable condition. The coat fit my dress form loosely except at the fitted wrists, and measures 38/32/40, with a length of 51 inches. If you need additional measurements I can provide them.
