The Williams Brothers have been singingrecording and traveling professionally for about five yearsand have Hit LP’s to their credit. Their first professionalappearance was with the Jackson Southernaires, whobooked and headlined the bill. The Williams Brothers’ goalis to take gospel higher than any other gospel group inblack history. We feel, with the help of God, there is nolimit to our success.Leon “Pop” Williams(Manager & Booking Agent) (Sagittarius)By being born and raised in the country on a farm, naturally he enjoys out-door activities very much. He likeshunting, fishing and gardening, even though he veryseldom has time anymore due to the groups busy schedule. He has been with the group ever since their inception. He isthe founder and also the father of Leonard, Melvin andDouglas Williams. Being an old time singer and churchworker as well, he has been a big help to the group’s suc-cess. And being the manager of this Red-Hot group is not“Pop” Williams' only success. He is a retired professionalbrick mason and carpenter. The fellows say he’s a jack ofall trades. He also enjoys traveling around with guys, laughing and joking, and telling stories about himself backin the good old days. His favorite sports are baseball andboxing.Henry Green (Aries)Henry sings tenor with the group. He has been with thegroup 13 years. Henry’s style plays a big part in the group’ssuccess. Other than his singing he is also a professionalmechanic. He enjoys hunting, watching T.V. and ridingaround the town making as many friends as he can. Hesays making people like you has everything to do with anyorganization’s success. The group often calls him “JiveTurkey” because he’s always saying or doing somethingfunny. He also enjoys boxing, football and baseball.Maurice Surrell (Sagittarius)Maurice joined the group 8 years ago. He plays drums andsings tenor. Being the drummer, the fellows often call himthe “Bam-Bam Man” He likes all sports. His hobbies arelistening to good music and reading books.Melvin Williams (Cancer)Melvin is the lead singer and lead guitarist. By his beingleft handed, playing a right handed guitar up-side down andtuned in valsa-poo, it often confuses the people in theaudience and his co-workers as well. The 23 year old lefthanded guitarist often classifies himself as a “Second-Hand” guitar player, but on the other hand, there are veryfew professional guitarists who can play the way he does.Other than singing professionally, he is a certified welderand blue print reader. His hobbies are listening to all kindsof music, writing and arranging songs, fishing, hunting, riding, going to movies and trying to find new outlets forthe group’s future. He also enjoys boxing, football andbasketball.Leonard Williams (Cancer)Leonard is the bass guitarist for the group. He is oftencalled “Mr Bass Man”. If an audience can be captured, hecan do it. He can move-em and groove-em until they justcan't sit in their seats. He often leaves hundreds standing, clapping and hollering for more. He enjoys traveling, writing and arranging songs, going to the movies, fishingand hunting. Leonard enjoys all sports. Other than hissinging profession, he’s a certified air-conditioner expertand brick mason.Douglas Williams (Virgo)Douglas is the lead singer for The Sensational WilliamsBrothers. The fellows call him the “Thin-Man”. In personhe is shy and easy going, but when he's on stage the 20 yearold song writer, arranger and occasionally bass player canbe very electrifying. His hobbies are watching T.V.,listening to music, traveling and meeting new people, writing and arranging songs. His goal is to reachstardom atan early age. Douglas likes all sports.Horn Arrangements: Rick FreistatDavid WatsonDarryl DixonAll original compositions conductedand arranged by The Williams Brothers.Keyboard: Steven FordTrumpet:Rick Freistat, Doug RothauserSaxophone: Darryl DLxon, David WatsonTrombone: Peter Baerga Thank you for your business.
