Description: A wonderful and rare 1840's American Folk Art Theorem paintingdepicting various flowers, including roses and tulips, in a scalloped bowl. This theorem is done with watercolor on velvet and has wonderful rich colors. It is in what appears to be it's original figured oak frame and glass.This is a gorgeous example of American Folk Art Theorem paintings. The frame has a faint pencil date of 1878, probably when the Theoremwas framed. The Theorem itself appears to be of an earlier period & date. Approx. Dimensions: Image 19 1/2" x 17 1/8" Frame 20 1/2" x 23 1/8" Condition: Great age-related original condition. Some glare can be seen in photographs, please excuse this. Loc. F ID. 300
