Description: Photographer: Unknown Title: Man & Woman in Rickshaws, China Date: c1920 Medium: Real Photo Post Cards, printed backs Size of Image: 3 ½ x 5 ½ inches each Size of Mount: na Condition: Rich tonal images, sharp and clean, not used postally. Other: Two excellent RPPC street portraits of a man and woman each in their own rickshaw some place in China in the 1920s. They are photographed in front of a photographer’s studio where in one window you can read a small sign, “Developing, Printing, Coloring and Enlarging.” Also, each image shows some framed portraits in the window behind. One rickshaw driver’s hat reads, “YP No. 5.” They both wear ribbons around their shoulders that have Chinese characters. Send questions.
