If you have trouble installing the forward controls, please follow these steps: 1-Remove both header pipes. 2-Remove and lower pedal crossmember. 3-Remove brake pedal assembly. 4-Remove right side foot rest. 5-Install brake pedal adapter. 6-Remove shifter lever. 7-Remove shifter lever linkage. (leave rear ball joint on shift shaft arm) 8-Remove left side foot rest. 9-Reinstall crossmember, do not reinstall the two forward center bolts. 10-Remove forward motor mount bolt. 11-Install the forward footrest center bracket with the two spacers and newer longer motor mount bolt. (Do not fully tighten motor mount bolt) 12-Reinstall header pipes. 13-Install lower cross member to forward footrest center bracket intermediate bracket. (Lower mounting bolts go into holes where bolts not previously reinstalled, do not fully tighten) 14-Adjust/align all brackets and tighten all hardware. 15-Install new footrests and controls. 16-Attach new control linkages. 17-Ride.
