They beat her, they tortured her, but she refused to yield. With implacable determination she later joined the guerillas and helped them wreak havoc among the enemy, destroying one "strategic hamlet" after another. Fighting alongside the South Vietnamese Liberation Armed Forces, she once led a guerilla team and broke into a town, where she killed Nguyen Thai, a traitorous member of the puppet administrative council.
