I'm in Mooresville, NC 28117 Here's some info on what goes into the build and some features Full Scale AIM-9X Sidewinder Missile - Based on 5" aluminum tubing, 1/4" wall - The entire model comes apart and can easily be put back together - There are over 120 individual parts, and over 350 fasteners - Rear wings rotate - Rear wings are removable, they are held in with Neodymium ring magnets and a short steel shaft - The paint is Sherwin Williams Aerospace Military Coating, it's the paint they use on the real Sidewinders. It's 2 part urethane - The entire model is sprayed with Urethane clear coat. It is chemical resistant, including Acetone. - The seeker camera is on a 3d printed gimbal, it rotates and angles up and down - Thrust vectoring vanes rotate - Targeting section has Lexan windows, real photosensors, and a real computer chip(it's a USB module, you can see the port), these are nonfunctioning - The arm/safe switch pulls up and rotates - All of the visible and most nonvisible, fasteners are NAS National Aerospace Standard - The length, the wingspan, fin span, and main body tube are exact dimensions to the real AIM-9X Sidewinder. These are known dimensions - All of the hangers height from center point, and width are identical to the real AIM-9X Sidewinder - The replica missile will fit any rail that is AIM-9X compatible. I have a real LAU launcher and I test fit them - You can mount it on any fighter that's equipped to hold an AIM-9X Sidewinder - Some critical parts are bonded using 3M DP420, you would break the metal before the bond - All 3D Printed parts are printed using 3DXtech CarbonX Carbon Fiber PLA filament(carbon strands, not carbon powder) - All decal content, size, and location is accurate - All aluminum is first cleaned with Bonderite acidic cleaner, then conversion coated using a Bonderite conversion chemical Message me with any questions.
