Description: Maker and age: On the reverse of this lovely dinner plate are the green circle decorator's mark number 7 and green white ware mark number 4 of Charles Ahrenfeldt, one of the great Limoges firms at the turn of the last century. Both marks were in use between 1894 and the 1930s. Source: third edition of the Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain by Mary Frank Gaston. Design: The beautiful pattern on fine translucent porcelain features a garland of finely painted pink roses and green leaves within a thin cobalt blue band encircling a pure white center. Size: The plate is 9 5/8 inches wide and weighs 15.8 ounces. Condition: It's in overall excellent condition with no marks, nicks, cracks, stains, discoloration or repairs. There is a small chip on the edge; it's slightly visible from the front and more prominent from the back. It's shown in the two photos with the red arrows. Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
