Description: Original antique folding hand fan. Measures 13" long by 23" wide. This fan features a carved wooden handle with wire hanger. The handle is inlaid with a carved floral arrangement. The fan features a garden scene on waxed material. I'm not an expert on this but the material appears to be cloth rather than paper. The fan is in good condition with some staining visible on back. The fan is sturdy and usable. Will make a fine display piece or costume accessory. I don't know the age of this fan but I do believe it is 19th Century or earlier. Purchased at a local farm estate.
