Description: Antique La Cross Nail File General Drug Store Counter Display Schnefel Brothers Click images to enlarge Description TITLE: Antique La Cross Nail File General Drug Store Counter Display Schnefel Brothers DESCRIPTION: Today we are pleased to offer for sale a handsome antique general or drug store counter display and great advertising piece for La Cross Nail Files. This mahogany wood counter cabinet is circa 1930's and original with gold and red lettering. The case reads "La Cross Nail Files, Bring Beauty To Your Finger Tips" and also advertises "Tweezers, Scissors" and "Nippers." There is glass on the front where customers would look at the items, and the back opens to reveal slots for each product with numbers and prices. There is even instructions for the store owner about where to place the display and how to get more sales. Also included with the case is a card that the company had retailers fill out so that they could "refer consumer inquiries" to them. This case would make a great display piece for a collection, or even a barber or beauty shop! DIMENSIONS: 12-1/2" in length, 11.5" in height, 6-3/4" in depth CONDITION: Item appears to be in complete condition with the exception of perhaps some hangers on the front of the case that might have been used to display the items. Wood surface does show some imperfections and surface abrasions through out, most notably on the backside, which are consistent with age and handling. The top piece that comes off so you can remove the glass is missing one screw, but will still hold in place. Glass remains intact with no visible chips or cracks. Please see all photos.
