Description: Beautiful antique M. Z. (Moritz Zdekauer) Austrian porcelain lidded biscuit jar. According to Kovels these were made between 1884-1909 in Austria. Edges are scalloped all around and accentuated with gold. Lovely pink roses and green leaves adorn the piece. It features double handles and a topper. It measures approximately 9" wide and 6" high. The porcelain also has a raised scroll on the lid and body. One teeny flea bite inside the rim of the lid where it hangs into the pot and two minor scratches. Hard to notice as the piece is so ornate. Difficult to believe it is in such amazing shape for being at least 115 years old.
