Description: Oil on board by Frederick Henry Henshaw (British 18097-1891) and painted circa 1838 when he was in Italy. It is signed lower right F.H.H & noted Rome. It has a titled label on the back The work is in very good condition and a wonderful period frame. He was born in Birmingham England, a student of Joseph Vincent Barber and heavily influenced by Turner. Her exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1828 and a member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists.
