Description: I acquired this J.W. Fiske fountain during the 2015 renovation of Shake Shack restaurant and the surrounding sections of Madison Square Park, including its fountain zone. The new fountain was replaced by a modern reproduction of the original artifact. Upon removal, the fountain was fully functional and in prime condition. It has several layers of black paint throughout, with no discernible signs of cracking or damage.
