Description: Antique Ridgway Brown and Green Transferware "Water Lilly" Soup Tureen 1835 For sale is this fine ornate brown and green transferware Staffordshire soup tureen with matching undertray. The pattern is printed in dark brown with painted green stripes. The large ornate soup tureen is 13 1/2 inches wide across the ornate applied handles by 9 1/4 inches deep by 10 1/2 inches tall. The under tray is 15 inches long by 11 1/2 inches wide. The three piece set weighs 6 lbs 12 oz. It is printed in fine striped "Water Lilly" pattern by John Ridgway & Co, of Hanley, Staffordshire. Printed "Water Lilly Imperial Stone" maker's mark on the base of the tray. Circa 1835. Condition: Very good overall, save for a minor hairline on the base of the tureen and tray, as shown.
