Description: This Antique Rosenthal Ivory Bavaria "Phoenix" Patterned Dishware is in Excellent Condition and a Beautiful Collection!! Overall Color is Cream/Ivory with Royal Blue, Pink, Yellow and Green. Vibrant colors with an accent of Gold Rimming. We have shown close ups of many of the bottoms. There are small numbers handpainted in gold paint and each are stamped with Rosenthal Phoenix. Some have patent numbers and some state US Patent applied for. We acquired this set at an Estate Auction in North Carolina. We believe this was collected and sat in a breakfront on display for many years and was never used. The pieces do not show wear as they would if they had been used for special occasions. **Some slight rubbing of Gold as is expected with antique pieces, however, very few are showing this. **A few of the items will show a brownish gold color on the bottom. This signifies to us that the item on the bottom of each stack picked up some transference of the wood varnish that it sat on. We didn't want to attempt to rub it off as we didn't want to alter the integrity of the pieces in any way. Surely some mineral spirits with do the job nicely.
