ANTIQUE ITALIAN MAJOLICA LG DOLPHIN HANDLED DIVIDED SERVER/CENTERPIECE SIGNED

Description: This is a stunning 60 plus year old Italian majolica centerpiece tray with dolphin handle in a "diamond" shape with 4 sections. It is large and hand painted in shades of light wine sienna, yellow and green with a Tuscan-style castle, flowers, and man and woman peasants, on a white glazed background. It is signed on bottom with "Italy" and a signature which I cannot make out. The "dolphin" handle is particularly unusual with 2 large dolphins with coiled tails at top of handle. There are no cracks or crazing and is in very good condition; however there are 3 small chips on the underside edge of the tray (not visible at all on top) which I have photographed (last 2 photos). This piece is from estate of an elderly relative and was purchased in Italy in early 50's. It is very unusual and with the divided sections is also very functional. It is quite large, measuring approximately 20 inches long by 14 inches wide by 6 inches tall (to the top of the handle). UPS/Fedex may be slightly more expensive; however, they handle shipments quickly and carefully and are much more reliable and reputable in the unlikely event of damage/loss!
