Beyerdynamic Amiron Home Dynamic Headphones

Description: This listing is for the pre-owned, gently used Beyerdynamic Amiron Home Headphones seen in the attached photos. I am the original owner of these headphones and they have never had any functional or sound issues. The (very slight) aesthetic imperfections I can find on these headphones are only noticeable to me if I’m looking for them from close up. The attached photos include close shots of the earpads and both sides of the headband, since these are where indications of use tend to be the most visible, so please make sure to look over the photos for yourself before buying or sending an offer. The Amiron Home are dynamic, open-back headphones made by Beyerdynamic, which was founded 100 years ago, all the way back in 1924! They still manufacture their headphones in Germany, a decision they explain in some detail on their website (https://blog-na dot beyerdynamic dot com/why-is-beyerdynamic-still-producing-in-germany/). Just replace the “dot” with an actual period to copy and paste the link. To make the Amiron Home, Beyerdynamic has used a lightweight-yet-sturdy construction philosophy featuring an especially comfy headband and ear-cup design that produces a pleasant “barely there” feel at only 340 grams (not including the cord) and combined this masterful build with high-level sound quality provided by 45mm Tesla drivers and dynamic transducers that operate at an impedance of 250 ohms and a sensitivity of 102 db/1 mw at 500 Hz; their frequency response extends from 5 to 40k Hz, with a T.H.D. below 0.05%. I’ve found that there’s something about these headphones, whether it’s the unusually light weight or just the overall “recipe” for mixing the qualities listed above, that does enhance comfort levels. This is especially noticeable during long listening sessions, when other headphones would usually start to cause listening fatigue over the same time, including some headphones that cost way more. I’m only selling these Amiron Homes because I bought Meze 109s a few months ago and they’re the only other headphone I’ve tried that are similarly comfortable for me. They’re also at least twice as expensive, but they suit my tastes (and head shape) well enough to be worth it to me, at least if I sell the Amiron Homes to cut costs a bit. All original items that came with the Amiron Homes will be included except for the basic 3.5mm headphone cable Beyerdynamic provided, which I can’t seem to find. As my primary headphone amp uses balanced XLR outputs, I mostly use aftermarket XLR headphone cables and, when I’m using another headphone amp, I just match an XLR cable with an extension that clicks onto the XLR cable and matches one of the standard headphone-jack sizes, so I’ll include an aftermarket XLR cable (2.5 meters) with this purchase that I confirmed works with the Amiron Homes as a replacement for the original 3.5mm cable. Also, if the buyer pays the listed price and needs a connecter for the XLR cable, he or she can just message me with the length needed (2.5, 3.5, 4.4 or 6.3) and I will also include a connector at that length that fits with the XLR cable.
