Description: This is a genuine Ruffony Cheek to Cheek Dancers mascot made by the A.N. Paris Foundry of France. Please note the quality of the casting. Many of these were "recasted" over the years losing much of the original detail especially in their faces and clothing. This one has absolutely exquisite detailing right down to their fingernails holding hands. It's a wonderful example of French bronze sculpture. Made in the 1920s this bronze casting measures 5 3/4 " tall (135mm). It is excellent condition with a great patina and normal wear from age and use.
