Description: Description: Up for sale is a beautiful Christian Dior Gaudron Malachite Green Single (1) Salad Plate. At the time this listing was written, multiple place setting pieces, extra pieces, and serving pieces were available in this pattern as well as many other patterns, so be sure and check out my many other lots! The salad plate measures approximately 8.375” in diameter and is marked with or with a slight variation of the following backstamp: “Christian Dior, Fine China, Gaudron © Malachite, Japan.” Some pieces also have a sticker that reads “Made in Japan, Fabrique au Japon.” The plate has a cream/white base with a green marble band, a gold inner band, and a gold rim/verge with additional gold decor. The pattern has been discontinued and years of manufacture for the pattern are between 1991 and 1999. Condition: Overall, the salad plates are in very good used condition for their age. The plates were acquired as part of a much larger set with little history known; however, no major condition issues (chips, cracks, crazing) were noticed upon a thorough inspection. The pieces may show light utensil marks, light cleaning or storage scratches, or minor imperfections to the gold rim and verge, however the pieces look only lightly used, if ever.
