Description: For sale is vintl record by David Sanborn titled "Straight To The Heart" , originally released in 1984 by Warner Brothers Records as a promotional copy with a gold stamp on the front cover. According to the liner notes, this album was mastered by George Marino. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched "Sterling Sound", along with an upper case "S" with a smaller "R" and "C" inside its coils, followed by the matrix Numbers SR-3/SR-2, indicating that the record was mastered at Sterling Sound of New York City, New York, before early stampers were used to make this record at Specialty Records Manufacturing Company's pressing plant located in Olyphant. Pennsylvania. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This preserves the integrity of the vinyl and any insert(s) or original inner sleeve(s) that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. Because my turntable is out of commission, I'm visually grading the vinyl as Near Mint, with surfaces that are shiny and bright, in a like-new condition, without any surface scratches, scuffs or spindle marks on the labels. The cover is graded as New Mint Minus because of very faint ring wear. The spine is Near Mint. This is still one of the best copies of this hard to find record that I have ever seen and you would be hard pressed to find one in this condition, especially a promotional copy. This would make a great addition to a anyone's collection. I have other Jazz albums, as well as records of all different genres in my Ebay store. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing. I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
