Description: Dorothy Thorpe Clear Resin Pekingese Foo Dog Sculpture Figurine MCM 1960s Mexico This rare and hard to find Dorothy Thorpe figurine is preowned, is vintage from the 1950-1960s era and is in good and acceptable condition for the right person. This dog is a heavy, solid figurine made from clear resin material. Some areas are slightly discolored but the figurine is mostly clear in nature. It is a sculpted figurine with lots of texture and visual appeal. The item measures approximately 6.75" tall x 6.5" wide by 4" in length (depending on where it is measured). There is a portion of the base that is hollow from the manufacturing of the item. I used to put a battery operated tea light in the back sometimes to give it some extra light. Conditional issues are some discoloration in the clear resin at the foot and at an ear and some wear to the Dorothy Thorpe sticker/label on the bottom foot. This item should not be placed in direct sun or it will may continue to cloud and discolor. This post war piece from Dorothy Thorpe is sure to last for many more years with the right caring love.
