Description: This is a highly detailed and precise/authentic 1920's oil on canvas copy of the 1658 Dutch seascape by Adrian van der Velde entitled "The Beach at Scheveningen, 1658." 29" wide X 20" tall. This was one a many items rescued from a destroyed home in Kassel Germany at the close of WW2. Unfortunately it was forgotten for the past 80 years and has been poorly stored since 1945. The original hangs in the Museum Hessen Kassel in Kassel, Germany.
