Translation: 1st Universal Esperanto Exhibition, Novembro - Dec., 1954. DETAILS: Original poster for the first annual Esperanto Exhibition held in Montevideo, Uruguay in December, 1954. The exhibition was co-sponsored by UNESCO. The significance of the event is that it resulted in the passage of the Montevideo Resolution. Has a wonderful bold art deco design with global background and over sized raised lettering. The Esperanto international symbol / logo of a green star on white background is prominently displayed on the upper left hand corner. The artist is M. Fernandez Menendez. The poster measures 38" x 26" inches. Reverse has a custom stamp. This is the only copy of this poster known to still exist. Above photos are of the actual poster. Has a wonderful festive feel to it. CONDITION: Poster is in high grade condition. Unmounted with no restoration. No tears, rips or stains. Vibrant colors with white paper color.
