Ford Mustang 1965 1966 AC Unit Interior Unit - OEM Ford Part Cleaned and Tested

Description: Up for sale is a 1965-1966 Ford Mustang AC Unit (hanger type). This is a 1966 model but works for both 1965 and 1966. This is an original unit from a 1966 Ford Mustang. The expansion valve is original and is for R-12. They can be exchanged with a valve that uses R-134a. This unit was completely dissassembled down to all interior components. Each part was inspected and cleaned. The interior of the unit was completely cleaned and the fan and metal parts were cleaned using a wire wheel. The switches were cleaned and lubricated with spray silicon and are freely moving. The evaporator is original and was simply cleaned. You may want to replace the evaporator with a new one from NPD due to inside scaling that happens over time. This one may work fine, but i'd recommend that. The drain hole was cleaned and the drip pan was cleaned using a wire wheel. All wiring is in excellent condition. Fan motor works perfectly. All vents and plastic parts are in good condition. The thermocouple is in good working order. All mounting points are in good condition and will line up with the original holes in the car. The unit was tested for functionality using a car battery connecting the positive/negative wiring and then grounding the unit to the battery and the frame plates that mount the unit in the car. The vents are in great shape, but could use paint. There are nicks and scratches and the chrome is slightly pitted, to be expected from a 60 year old part. This is a must have if you have an original AIR car and this thing blows hard (I was impressed with how much air this thing moves).
