FASHIONED OF A MOST UNUSUAL FABRIC THAT IS SIMILAR TO A SHORT NAP BLACK VELVET BUT HAS THE FEEL OF A CHENILLE WITH THE CUT OUTS IN A PLAIN AND RIB TEXTURED WOOL WITH THE CUT OUTS HIGHLIGHTED THROUGHOUT IN BLACK JET BEADING. HOOKS CLOSED IN THE FRONT WITH FLEMISH FOLD SPANISH LACE RUNNING DOWN EITHER SIDE AND TRAVELING ACROSS THE BOTTOM AND UP THE OUTER SIDES IN DOUBLE LAYERS OF RUFFLING FULLY AROUND SIDES AND REAR WITH THE CENTER REAR IN A VENTED BUSTLE TAIL TRIMMED IN SILK SATIN RIBBON. FLORAL JET APPLIQUES WITH DANGLES TRIMS POINTS OF THE LACE FULLY AROUND THE BOTTOM WITH MATCHING APPLIQUES ON EITHER SIDE OF THE FRONT NECKLINE. FOLDS OF LACE ARE AT THE HIGH REAR NECKLINE AND TRIMMED IN JET DANGLES. THE INTERIOR IS LINED IN A BLACK SILK. CONDITION: THERE IS SOME SMALL UNSEEN ABSENCE TO THE JET BEAD DANGLES THAT MUST BE HUNTED FOR THE JET HAS LEFT SOME SMALL OXIDIZED STAINING TO THE BLACK LACE AT SMALL POINTS. THE INTERIOR LINING IS BROKEN AROUND THE INNER COLLAR AND IS STARTING TO BREAK ALONG THE INNER FRONT. THE LINING IS UNSEEN WHEN WORN AND COULD BE REMOVED IF DESIRED. THE INNER BELTING IS WEAK AND A PORTION IS MISSING, A NEW RIBBON IS EASILY ADDED. ALSO INCLUDED IN THE SALE ARE TWO LARGE POINTS THAT COULD BE A POCKET DETAIL TO A GOWN. THEY ARE TRIMMED IN MATCHING LACE AND JET BEADING WITH TRACES OF JET DANGLES ON EACH. EACH MEASURES 12 INCHES ACROSS THE TOP AND 12 INCHES IN LENGTH.
