Description: You are buying a new never displayed hand painted two monarch butterflies, one with its wings spread out, as the wood cut-outs. They are both on a lilac flower, one with some leaves. The main wood is basswood and it is 12 1/2" in height x 10 1/4" wide and is 1/2" thick. The butterflies, I cut out on my bandsaw, then painted it and is glued on from the front and screwed on from the back-see other pictures. The small butterfly is 2 3/4" x 2 1/2" and is made out of 1/2" (actual 7/16") aspen wood. I also drilled a small hole on the top of the butterfly and put two wires in it for the antennas-so it sticks out the small one has legs also. Looks like a 3D picture. The basswood is bought from a hobby store. The aspen wood is bought from and general store that carries wood. You can see I have put a hanger on the back for easy hanging.
