Description: Gorgeous Pacific Fast Mail Chesapeake & Ohio 2-8-2 made in Japan by United and imported in 1978. Crown model with superb detail including back head detail, deck plate, etc. Model is absolutely superb. Wheel plating is excellent and shows little run time / test runs. Model runs well, tender wheels squeal in reverse. I did not lubricate as it was previously, and may continue to be a display model. Box is also in excellent condition, it has almost no visible wear. Foam, original wraps, warrantee card, decals, and parts pack included. Original owners name is written (very small) on bottom corner of box. I will pay close attention to your brass purchase and will ensure your item is packed correctly and arrives safely. Lots of original foam has lost its memory or is deteriorating and will not serve its intended purpose. I replace or remove inferior foam as needed, use additional padding, and wrap with plenty of bubble wrap. I use sturdy boxes with all seams taped ensuring that you don't receive a box of "parts".
