Description: She is completely all original! Apart from her hat. She takes your breath away to see her! She’s amazing! She’s a big girl 33 inches tall. She’s also in extremely good condition for her age. Made in Germany about 1850. I have had to leave her dressed because some of her clothes are stitched on. I’m apprehensive about taking her jacket off as it’s a bit of a tight fit on the arms and a little difficult. So I apologise but will describe her body. She has a wax over composition head and shoulders with glass eyes. Lower arms and legs are solid heavy composition. Painted socks and high heeled shoes. One foot has a repair and her finger tips are scuffed and so are her shoes. Her body is a coarse linen… I think straw stuffed. There is some fine crazing on her face and a crack in the wax on the side of her face by her right ear. Please see close up photos. But really she’s not at all bad for her 174 years! Her mohair wig is original and in pretty good condition for its age. Slightly matted but not thin anywhere. She’s wearing cotton bloomers, linen or cotton petticoat, skirt, waistcoat and jacket. Lots of soutache braid on the suit and mother of pearl buttons. Her straw boater hat is antique. Her clothes are in very good condition but need a clean. She will be very well packed with lots of bubble wrap and a sturdy box. Happy to post overseas with global shipping only.
