It comprises a tray and an egg cup, both featuring bead patterning around the rim. The tray has a pin for securing the egg cup, a round handle, and a recess for a spoon. Supported by three ball-shaped feet, it bears electroplating markings and the manufacturer's mark of HW & Co for Henry Wilkinson.Henry Wilkinson & Co, operating in London since the 1850s, established showrooms at various locations, including 4 Bolt Court, Fleet Street, and later Ely House, 13 Charterhouse Street, Holborn Circus. Hallmarks for the company were registered in the London Assay Office in 1857 and 1879. The firm became Henry Wilkinson & Co Ltd in 1872 but faced liquidation in 1892, subsequently acquired by Walker & Hall.This antique item shows signs of age and use, with natural tarnishing that can be polished away based on preference.
