Description: Offering a huge variety of high-precision adjustments, the DX3 processor considerably improves the performance and quality of the audio system, also featuring the unprecedented option of being controlled via Bluetooth. Through Mobile Bluetooth interface (sold separately), all settings are made the distance in real time by an Android application with dynamic and intuitive interface, available for free on PlayStore. Using digital signal processors (DSPs) can be performed in real-time EQ parametric filters, cuts, alignment, gain, phase reverse, and other settings. The DX3 Processor consists of one set of inputs (L and R) and three sets of output channels (L + R). INTERFACEOUTPUT LEVELS The parameter IN on the left, (MASTER), relates to the power amplitude of the sound in the outputs system. When the cursor is on this parameter, the user can increase or decrease the level of all outputs simultaneously. The numerical parameters relate to the sound power in its own respective outputs system. When the cursor is on this parameter, you can increase or decrease the level of the related output. The indication of the selected cursor is by the thicker bar and also by thetext box with the volume value. This ranges from 0 to 100.For each output, there is a corresponding key to activate the MUTE function. When MUTE is activated, the corresponding output bar stays dotted. Thecorresponding output will stay without signal, but the level is still displayed because there is a possibility to edit the output level at anytime. When the MUTE key is pressed again, the bar stays continuousand maintains the output level value. When the MUTE key is pressed and the screen is at rest,Immediately, the LEVEL screen is loaded and the output that has been changed willshow the new update. For this, the LEVEL icon should be unlocked.EQUALIZATIONPreset: Allows streamlined equalization. When selecting the Desired option, the 15 gain parameters change automatically according to thepreset selected.• FLAT: Resets the equalization of the 15 tracks gains. The equalizerworks, in this case, in bypass mode.• ELECTRONIC | tecnobrega | SERTANEJO | AXE | FUNK | Pancadão |ROCK: The 15 levels of adjustment for the EQ bands are preconfiguredto perfect the songs of the selected genre (original preset).• MANUAL: If there is a change of one of the ORIGINAL PRESETS (which can notbe changed), the current equalizer values will go to MANUAL preset.NOTE: The contents of the MANUAL preset is lost every timethe user changes an original preset.MEMO (1,2,3): Preset that can hold its own equalization configuration. Even changing toother presets, the content that was previously saved in this preset is not lost. MEMO is not an original preset so it can be edited.15 LEVELS OF EQUALIZATION BANDS: There are 15 gain regulators to 15 pre-defined frequencies. The more to the left of the screen, the lowerthe frequency that will be equalized. These regulators cause a gainand attenuation in the band of the respective equalized filter. The indication ofthe selected regulator is represented by the thicker bar and also by thetext box with the value of the gain. The amplitude value regulator varies -10.0dB to +10.0dB with incremental steps of 0.5dB.FREQ: Only when the cursor is located on one of the 15 regulators does itappear at the base of the screen of the FREQ parameter. This parameter shows the center frequency of the equalization filter. To adjust the center frequency of the equalization filter, you must press theKey. At this time, the selection box switches to the FREQ parameter. Afteradjusting the center frequency of the equalization filter, press thekey to continue browsing the 15 regulators. When the cursor is on the FREQ parameter indicating the possibility ofthe value being edited, the corresponding band regulator will stay flashing. The 15 parameters are related to the FREQ profiles. Each profile canbe with a different FREQ, but all presets will be with theFREQ parameters of that profile.OUTPUT SETTING In this frame, you can adjust the high pass and low pass filters in the Butterworth or Linkwitz configuration for each channel.H. PASS: Select the cutoff frequency of the high pass filter output.20Hz to 20kHz.L. PASS: Select the cutoff frequency of the low pass filter output.20Hz to 20kHz.TYPE: Selects the type of filter to use.BUT12, BUT24, L-A24, L-R48.Note: There is a minimum interval between the H and L PASS.When setting H.PASS to 20Hz, the filter stays flat. When setting L.PASS to 20KHz, the filter stays flat.PHASE: Set the signal phase in the corresponding output. The values are 0 ° or 180 °.DELAY: Parameter responsible for delaying the sound produced by the chosen output. The value of this parameter is displayed in centimeters and ranges between 0 and 250 cm with1 cm step.1) Define the coil of zero reference (measured from the front panel of the box)In the above example, the reference was half of the horn coil.2) Measure the other way and insert, into the crossover, the measure in cm that is closest by turning the navigation scroll.NOTE: The fact that the coils of different transducers (speakers, drivers and tweeters) are not aligned have delays that may harm the perfect reproduction of sound. The DELAY parameter allows aligning, electronically, the coilsand applying delays to the other boxes since the deep coil is the zero reference (measured from the front panel of the box, according to the scheme above).OUT: Pressing the keys -- the user can move between the available outputs. Navigation is cyclical.L + R: Select (YES) for mono output or (NO) for stereo output.LIMITERThe limiter serves to protect the sound system against distortions, limitingamplitude at a predetermined maximum value. The limiter acts without damaging the sound dynamics and quality.LIMITER PARAMETERS• Threshold (-20dB to 0dB):Volume level that the limiter starts working.• Attack (1ms to 50ms):Time that the limiter takes to work (set according to table 06).• Release (15ms to 1000ms) (recovery):Time that the limiter takes to return to the initial condition. For better audio quality, the DX EVO adjusts automatically the Release time(Auto Release) that will be 16 times bigger than the Attack time.Note: the Release of time may also be adjusted manually.Worktime: Tells how long the processor is connected. This parameter can be increased up until the value of 99,999 hours and 59 minutes.RST: Pressing the RST key (reset), the worktime parameter will be reset andthen immediately return its functionality.LIFETIME: Tells the time of the DX EVO processor usage, since the last resetof manufacture.PROFILE SELECTIONPROFILE is the name given to the collection of settings that can be redeemedaccording to the preferences previously saved. Each PROFILE group’s information of configurations and output levels and manual equalizer settings are saved for each profile. The DX EVO processor features 3 profiles. To change the PROFILE, just press the key ---- or key -----.The navigation will be cyclical. When making the choice of the new profile, the screen will open a popup to confirm the change of profile. To choose the desired option, just click onOK.SCREEN SAVER* 10 seconds of inactivity in the MENU screen.* 5 minutes of inactivity in any other screen. If any key of the equipment is pressed, the screen saver disappearsand enters the HOME MENU except when the MUTE buttons arepressed. In this case, it will show the LEVEL screen. The Android device can only access the DX EVO processor when the local device is in the rest screen.CONNECTING WITH BLUETOOTH MOBILE INTERFACEThe DX EVO processor can be connected to the BLUETOOTH MOBILE INTERFACE; a product that enables remote communication via Bluetooth between the familyDX processors EVO and Android devices (smartphone and tablet). The DX JFA PROCESSOR app, available in the Play Store, is designed toprovide greater mobility when configuring the DX EVO processorthrough a friendly and easy navigational interface.PRODUCT VERSIONABOUTThis screen informs the processor model thefirmware version installed and the JFA website. From this screen, you can perform a reset on the device so yourfactory settings will be restored. Pressing the key ---- for 5seconds on the screen will open a pop-up.To proceed with the reset, just press ---. To ignore the pop-up, justpress any key (except---). When you press the center key, the userwill be taken to the START MENU.
