Envelope (cover) with 2¢ United Nations "Peace and Security" regular postage stamp (Scott #125) plus 5¢ Kennedy memorial stamp (Scott #1246) with UN, NY First Day of Issue cancel. Both stamps were issued the same day. The cover is illegal because UN (and US) postal regulations required UN postage of 5¢ on otbound mail, addressed or unaddressed. You can't combine UN and US stamps to make the rate as was done here. Similar (legal) FDCs were generally produced with 3 UN 2¢ stamps and one Kennedy 5¢ stamp (see scan — you do NOT get this cover). This standard #6 cover, unaddressed with Artcraft cachet, measures 6½" x 3⅝" and is in pristine, like new condition.
