Description: O.U.A.M. Represents the Order of American Mechanics United Presented To Edgar Flook Ahalt during his membership at the Masonic Lodge #43 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Bible is signed, and the signature matches Edgar’s registration card. The Bible is beautiful, and in very good condition. Some pages look to have had moisture seep from edges in, but the pages do not stick and there is no musty odor. It appears to have been very well cared for. Numerous full page colorized plates are within and commentary printed through out. Lodge 43 has been blessed with a rich history that has included people, events, and growth that has spanned our 237-plus years as a Fraternal Masonic Lodge, and as a partner in the Lancaster community. James Buchanan, 15th President of the United States, was a Past Master of Lodge 43, and later appointed First District Deputy Grand Master before he continued with his political ambitions and became President of the United States.
