Description: The Land of Sleepy Hollow and the Home of Washigton Irving: {512 of 600 1887 Limited letter-press edition} [ANTIQUARIAN and VINTAGE] A series of photographic representations with descriptions, letter-press by J. L. Williams. Illustrations by F. O. C. Darnley. Due to age, this 137-year-old book has areas of the covers, edges, corners and spine in poor condition. The boards were a dark blue cloth over beveled boards. The cover has a picture of Washington Irving and his house and gilt lettering. The spine cover is missing a piece and has a tear into lower part of the cover. Ring stains were noted on the front cover. Just inside is the previous owner’s name and the date 1889. Please note all of the pages have tanning due to age, some of the protective pages for the photographs are loose. Some foxing was noted. The binding is poor and appears to be sewn.
