Description: A striking bowl, perfect for a table’s centerpiece. The bowl was made in Italy of ceramic and then covered in copper. Copper plate? A copper metallic glaze? I cannot find much information on how it was made. If you look at photo 6, you can see the bottom which is red ceramic. There is wear to the bowl. Some scratches and chips. Despite a few flaws, it is elegant, warm, and eye catching. Also a great object and gift for an artist - the bowl would be wonderful as part of still life oil paintings because of its finish and size.
