Description: Gorgeous German Porcelain Vase with Figural HandlesHand Painted Aphrodite Riding fish.ITEM HIGHLIGHTS Provenance: See photos--this is probably Prussian made Circa: 1890's - 1900. Brief Description Gorgeous hand painted depiction of the Greek Goddess Aphrodite, scantily clad with breast exposed in a flowing dress riding the waves on large fish! The back of the vase has a beautiful flower arrangement. This is a "blown out" porcelain vase with figural handles, which I believe are Sea Worms. Lots of gorgeous designs embellished in this bright white translucent porcelain with speckled Gold highlights around the ornate rimmed base.
