They started to use engraved ( actually embossed) bottles in that period. It's a " portugal" which means a classical fresh cologne formula ( with citrus, like bergamot, orange and tangerine essences, with aromatic notes, like lavender clary sage or marjolaine). It's quite a rare bottle.”The bottle has its original cologne. The top does not come off, the label shows where as you can see in the picture. The label shows some ware due to its age, there are no chips or cracks bottle is in wonderful condition.It is quite a gem for any Collector. After perfuming the greatest Kings, Empresses and Tsars of Europe, Lubin expanded across the Atlantic in the 1850s, and enjoyed dazzling success until its decline at the end of the 20th century. In 2004, Gilles Thévenin, the owner and artistic director of the house of Lubin in his offices. Gilles Thévenin, a great perfume lover and former creative director of Guerlain, gave a new life to this historic house.
