MAJORETTE Show Horse & Camping Trailer with Semi, 1/60, Vintage

Description: Vintage MAJORETTE Show Horse & Camping Trailer with Semi, 1/60, Made in France. 1970's-era, perhaps? When hooked together, the rig is just over 10"L x 3"H (with sky roof open) x 1.75"W. Shown with a Matchbox stake truck for size comparison. Majorette made a similar-looking rodeo tractor-trailer combo, but this one depicts an equestrian performing a show jump as opposed to a cowboy riding a bronc. The red portions are die-cast metal; the white sections are plastic. This toy has remarkable detail. Starting with the cab, note the step-up bars, the wind deflector, the flared horns on the roof. Through the windshield there's the steering wheel and two seats with a console between them (not visible in the photo). On the front side of the trailer, you can see the camping quarters with its molded-in-place furniture. On the equestrian-transport section, there is a ramp on either side and a feed box that pulls out. Now, for the flaws. The "passenger-side" ramp didn't stay closed because its plastic clips broke off at some point. I did a crude fix with some duct tape and a toothpick (see photo). The king pin that hooks the trailer to the semi doesn't lock in place, so the trailer could roll backward if driving it on a slope. Other minor flaws include the specks of missing paint throughout, the one set of broken louvered windows, the small chip and crack in the sky roof, and the decals that show wear. The windows are tinted yellow. I'm not sure if they started out that way, or if its an aging thing. Some of the hardware on the bottom of the toy show rust, but the wheels still roll fine. On the positive side, the top and back of the trailer are remarkably clean. SEE ALL PHOTOS. I am a hobby seller, not a dealer.
