Description: This is one of artist Marcia Sandmeyer Wilson's (1937-2018) extremely rare and unique handmade deluxe books, composed of ten original etchings, hand bound, with self-marbled end pages. Wilson's technique was to etch a metal printing plate, press it into 100% rag paper, and then hand color each etching with water colors so that each print is unique and an original work of art. The book includes a printed insert describing her technique. Each of the ten etchings making up this book are whimsical portraits of people, sometimes with an animal. The titles are: Mom's Good Mood; Joy of Childhood; Mermaid; In Pursuit of Something; Best Friend; Love the Earth; Walk in the Sun; Cat Owner; Santa Claus; and Hi, Sweetie. The bound book measures 5.5" by 6.25" by 0.5". The etchings vary slightly in size between 2 1/8" by 1 1/2" and 2 1/4" by 1 1/2".
