Description: McWhinney authentic arrowheads, lot of three, 2 1/4"-2 1/2", heavy patina, creek stain. No modern damage on any of the three. A little known type but extremely common in our area, they are found along the Ohio River from Ohio to Illinois, the type site is in SW Ohio. Noel Justice describes them the best in his type book, they are thick and crude, and these are beautiful examples, I am absolutely certain of the type as I have found tons of these over the years. The bases are variable, some short stemmed and some rounded like one of these. Late Mid Archaic through Late Archaic. Overstreet guide has had the same two examples or so for several editions, it bothers me because these are so ubiquitous but perhaps not the most beautiful type! Your chance to own the type! Guaranteed ancient and unaltered for life. I am a 25 year plus member of CSAS, GRAS and GIRS archaeological societies. Fast shipping, will combine whenever possible.
