Description: Antique Wooden Plaque " Merry Christmas " 19th century / 1800s 4 3/8" x 6 1/4" About 1/8" thick.The outer edge is beveled. The wood looks like boxwood , though the variety of wood is uncertain. Gold and silver image printed onto wood, with some green and red floral decoration in addition. There are nail or screw holes in the corners ; this wooden plague was meant to be affixed to a wall or some other surface. This has the appearance of a Victorian era Christmas Card, yet it was printed onto wood. A very scarce object ; I can find no other like it. Carefully packed for shipment to the buyer.
