Hard to find Original First Stereo Pressing Vinyl Rocksteady / Pop / Ska / Bluebeat / Rock ’N Roll album from Millie Small “The Blue Beat Girl". Contains the Title Hit plus lots of other great “Jamaican Ska” numbers. In the Original Cover with NO Cutouts, promo markings or Barcode. This is a First Pressing as indicated by the Runout Vinyl / Matrix markings that read: Matrix / Runout (Side A Runout, Stamped; “1S” Etched): SR 67055-A-S1 1S 0[sideways]Matrix / Runout (Side B Runout, Stamped; “1S” Etched): SR 67055-B-S1 1S 0[sideways] CONDITION The Sleeve is in nice shape. There is some slight shelf wear and corner softening / wear. There either a crease or a flaw in the upper right corner, not very serious either way. Super solid with no splits, stains, tears, cutouts, writing, etc. and would rate VG+ overall. The Vinyl is in clean Glossy condition looking pretty lightly played . There are some light scuffs, marks and hairlines - no actual scratches i.e. something you can feel with a fingernail. VG visually but plays pretty much perfectly other than a couple spots of barely audible groove noise which may just need a better cleaning than I can give with my Discwasher brush. The labels are NM. If I provide Play Grades it is done as a courtesy but I only guarantee the Visual Grade. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words: Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them.
