Description: MINI PORTRAIT MAN W/ BEARD BLUE ASCOT Hand Painted Pastel Framed Very Good Offering you a wonderful, hand painted pastel miniature of a Bearded Man with Blue Ascot and Black Vest. This piece has wonderful delicate details, especially in the eyes, lips and nose, certain to delight the eye of the observer. • The portrait is hand painted with pastels with delicate details. An oval fillet surrounds the image that sits on a field of heather brown, and is all under clear glass. There are spots of unknown origin and age, on the face and right side of image. There is no date that we could find. Stylistically, it is our educated guess this pastel was created at or before the turn of the 20th century. Another educated guess is this image was re-framed to protect it, as it is a modern frame by JB's Fine Art Productions, El Segundo, CA. Still a very delightful image. • The back is covered with plain paper, with saw tooth hanger and stamped with framers information. There is water damage to paper on back and to front matte board on upper left corner. Some loss of moulding decoration (loss shows up white). • Frame exterior is approximately 10 x 9 x 3/4 inches. The oval image area with fillet is approximately 5-1/2 x 4-3/4 inches. • Please see images for additional details. There are reflections in the glass and are not necessarily flaws in the image.
