Description: This is a custom 12" figure set commemorating one of my favorite shows on PBS television Miss Scarlet and the Duke. The series is set in the Victorian era of London (1882). Eliza Scarlet (played by Kate Phillips) is the daughter of a man who owns a detective agency. When her father Henry dies Eliza is left almost penniless so she decides to run the detective agency. She is aided from time to time by a detective inspector from Scotland Yard, William Wellington (played by Stuart Martin) known at the Yard as the Duke. Years ago, Eliza's father had helped William Wellington with a new start from a possible life of crime. There is an obvious attraction between Eliza and the Duke. This series has great stories with believable characters and great mysteries. Please note: although this figure lot does not look exactly like the characters or actors, there is a bit of a resemblance and the figure lot displays well. This figure lot would make a nice addition to any collection. stands included. please note I have included a cardboard spacer for Miss Scarlet's hat. the pictures show the hat with and without spacer, so it displays well either way. sold as is. I checked in to the market of custom figures. Most of the custom figures available back then cost several hundred dollars, so, I started doing my own.
