Description: I am pleased to offer a very rare mechanical tin lithograph windup "Mechanical Trumpet Player" manufactured by Nomura Toy Industrial Co. Ltd. (TN) of Tokyo Japan Obviously meant to depict the jazz icon, Louis Armstrong 'Satchmo' From the 1950s Complete with original cardboard box with the model in overall in excellent condition When wound with attached dedicated key he marches in place kicking his leg up, which tips his hat and his trumpet sounds and squeaks; his head also turns from side to side; when his leg goes back, his hat tips back He is in great working order with all original condition and no breaks or repairs His hat, the body frame, base and shoes are all made of lithographed tin His clothes are cloth; the trumpet, hands and face are all plastic, with his hand painted face looking as new The red plaid coat with black velvet collar has some stray threads and his white shirt (which has been originally glued down) has some glue stains showing through The harlequin design on the metal base has a few minor surface scratches No rust or moisture damage Note he has a slide-out metal stabilizer under base so that he can stand in place to assist from falling over when the mechanism is wound up (I don't always have luck keeping him from falling over though!) He is approximately 10 1/2" tall unboxed and the box itself is 10 3/4" long Marked Trade Mark TN on back The box is in great condition as well with very vibrant graphics and normal scuffs to corners but all original staples and only two small tears on the side edges of bottom box; one bottom flap of the top has a partial bend Box itself is prominently marked Please ignore white spots on photos caused by camera flash Returns accepted only if item not as described or grossly misrepresented.
