Includes 4 richly printed chromolithographs, some with gilt highlighting, and 1 tinted. Of these, the two double page plates measures 39cm x 22cm, and 3 single page plates measure 22cm x 19.5cm. Contained loosely within an original fascicule folder from the work.Very Good condition. Well-preserved overall. Light edgewear, mainly to text pages. Minor creasing. The folder is somewhat marked and worn, and is only included as a curiosity. Please ask if you require a more detailed condition report, or view gallery images closely.These original plates all come from Racinet's important work Le Costume Historique, published in 1888. They are completely original to the period. Four of the plates are chromolithographs i.e. printed in rich colours, some with gilt highlighting. Amongst this collection are two especially striking double-page plates. These particular examples have never been bound, and came to us loose as published in their original printed fascicule folders.
