Description: I love this magazine! Most particularly because I am from Nocona Texas, which is named after Peta Nocona, husband of Cynthia Ann Parker, and father of Chief Quanah Parker (son of Cynthia Ann). The story is really tragic! You have to read between the lines a little bit, because it is written from the perspective of Texas Rangers. Included in the article are a picture of Cynthia Ann with her baby daughter, and a picture of Quanah, her son. The story is pretty amazing. Also included are lots of stories that were told by first hand or second hand accounts about the West, specifically Texas. The stories are all incredible, and filled with heroics and tragedy. The magazine is quite fragile! It is printed on newsprint, and has lots of chips, but no missing pages. The spine is covered in library bookbinding tape, to reinforce it along the spine edges. It is all of one piece, readable, but just really fragile.
