Description: ORIGINAL c1960 SPARTACUS THE MOVIE CAST PHOTO This is just a great original piece. This is one of those pieces I debated keeping until I figured out the exact story on this photograph. But actually I thought it would be better to put it out on ebay and see what the collectors thought about it. I have searched and searched for another original of this photograph as well as any publication information about who the photographer was and came up empty. I searched art databases for the photograph and entertainment auctions including Heritage and nothing. The only thing I have been able to find is that this is the original cast photo and you can now buy reprints online. This is the real deal. Original photograph of the cast including Laurence Olivier, Kirk Douglas, Jean Simmons, Charles Laughton, and the others. Real photo measuring 23 1/2 x 19 1/2 inches on original backing measuring 24 x 20 inches. Photos is in excellent original condition. There is a small 1 inch cut into the edge of the photo and mount along the right side. A few other very minimal scuffs but overall about really overall outstanding. The card edges has a few chips but again, nothing bad at all. Do your own research on this original cast photo. Probably one of the best collectibles you are going to find from this iconic movie. Dont miss this possibly one of a kind photograph. Do your own research and see if you can find another example of it. The closest thing I have been able to find is little press photos but nothing as important as this one.
